Pond Flowers Available!

The Seven Hills Seed Library is happy to say that we have acquired some pond and wetland seeds! If you have a poor draining yard that turns into a swamp in spring and summer, these are the plants for you! We have Arrowhead, Arumleaf and Common, also known as duck potato. These plants are a staple in a duck’s diet, so you may see some fowl friends in your yard. We have Bicknell’s Sedge and BottleBrush Sedge seeds, and Marsh Marigolds. These marigolds are petite compared to regular yard marigolds but their beautiful yellow color glows. All of these plants are for shallow water or wet conditions. They do not do well if they should dry out. If you’d like to take a chance and plant some around your pond, please call the library and ask for Annie!
