Summer Reading Challenge: June 4 – Aug 31

Summer is here! You’re invited to participate in our 2022 Summer Reading Challenge! This year’s theme is Port Page Turners: Oceans of Possibilities. All ages (children, teens, & adults) are welcome to participate! The challenge will go from June 4 – Aug 31.

Tracking reading for all age levels will be done through the free Beanstack app (or you may use the Beanstack web interface: Registration will open up on June 4, and you may register at any point throughout the summer. Please contact us for any assistance with registration or throughout the whole reading challenge. We’re here to help! 262-284-5031,, or stop on by.

There will be fun events throughout the summer for all ages! Including storytimes, Sensory Saturday, movie showings, family shark tooth dig, painting night, Teen Café, and more. Check out our events calendar for details or stop by the library for paper flyers.

Kickoff Party! Sat, June 4 @ 9am-1pm. Stop by the library to register for the reading challenge, stock up on reading materials, enjoy some free ice cream, and music by Jeremy Bryan of the Figureheads (music from 11am-12pm)

Children participants will work toward earning prizes at different levels of reading minutes they achieve throughout the summer. The grand prize is to reach 600 minutes to earn a Golden Ticket to our August 13th Party (10am-12pm)! [*Please note the location for the Golden Ticket Party is now the Library Community Room due to pool hours and staffing changes as of 8/8/22. We apologize for the drastic change due to unforeseen circumstances and thank you for your understanding and flexibility.]

Teens and adults will also have the chance to win prizes by logging their reading and earning ticket entries toward a raffle prize drawing at the end of the summer. Teens will also receive a coupon pack and a book of their choice at different levels of reading minutes they achieve.

Basically the more you read, the more fun prizes you might win!
