Speak up for libraries!

Library advocates, we need your help. Federal library funding is at risk, and sharing what libraries mean to you with your elected officials can make a difference! Learn more about the current status of Wisconsin libraries and what you can do to help at https://mywisconsinlibrary.org/.

Sharing with your state and locally elected officials about the importance of libraries also means a great deal. Library advocacy work is never done. We appreciate all of our library supporters and those taking the time to share with others about the impact of libraries in your life.

How can you help?

  • Contact your elected officials and share about what the library means to you. Advocate for library funding and support.
  • Share with your friends and family about library resources – in person, on social media, through written mail – however you do it, please help spread the word about libraries!
  • Use your library! Get a library card, check out materials, attend events, utilize digital resources, visit our building/use our space, and more.
  • VOTE. Use your voice at the polls to help elect supporters of libraries.
  • Get involved – join the Friends of the Library group, volunteer, attend Library Board of Trustee meetings, and more.

Thank you, library advocates! We exist as a library for YOU, and we’re all in this together to help protect, support, and lift up this valuable community resource.
