Story Walk: I'm So Glad You're Here

Celebrate National Library Week April 19-25, 2026, with the theme “Find Your Joy” and Honorary Chair Mychal Threets! Take a walk down Grand Ave to see the story walk of the brand new book, I'm So Glad You're Here by Mychal Threets on the library lawn.  Dubbed "the Internet's librarian"— and now host of the relaunched Reading Rainbow — Mychal Threets invites all to take a look and find themselves at the library! Perfect for little readers who are regular visitors and those who might be stepping into the stacks for the first time.Welcome to the library! It’s a place just for you! There are activities, movies, games, and SO. MANY. STORIES. Best of all, it’s a place where you will always belong. Take a tour of the library with the internet’s favorite librarian, Mychal Threets! This heartwarming debut picture book from Mychal extends an invitation to anyone who could use a little library joy and a reminder that libraries are for everyone. Silent Book Club

Celebrate National Library Week April 19-25, 2026, with the theme “Find Your Joy” and Honorary Chair Mychal Threets! National Library Week is an annual celebration highlighting the valuable role libraries, librarians, and library workers play in transforming lives and strengthening our communities. Monday, April 20 is Right to Read Day (https://uniteagainstbookbans.org/right-to-read-day/), a day for readers, advocates, and library lovers to take action to protect, defend, and celebrate the right to read.  Join us for a “Drop Everything and Read” Silent Book Club event after school for all ages anytime between 3:00pm-6:00pm. Bring a book or select one from the library, then find a comfortable place in the Community Room to settle in and read! Novel Ideas Book Club

Join this monthly book club for fiction fanatics! Each month, the group will read a selected novel. Pick up your book at the library’s front desk. Meets in the library at 6:30pm on the 3rd Monday of the month. January will meet on the 4th Monday due to library closure. Copies of the book are available at the circulation desk. Ask for yours and join us at this evening book club!
