Port Conversations: WI LGBTQ History

October is LGBTQ+ History month! Historian, Michail Takach, will be joining us from the WI LGBTQ History Project to discuss: “Before We Were Trans: Exploring Wisconsin’s Gender-Expansive Past”. Michail will explore LGBTQ+ issues, origins, and activism through the lens of Wisconsin history. Join us for this educational talk and engaging discussion. Port Conversations is a discussion group for community members interested in respectfully exploring current issues.

Friday Morning Book Talk

Friday Morning Book Talk is a book group sponsored by the Port Washington Adult Community Senior Center. The group meets in the Library Community Room on the second Friday of the month.  Note that the original books for July and August have been swapped. Perimenopause

Perimenopause is the transitional phase before menopause and usually affects women in their mid-40s. Nurse Amy Hackman will cover the basics of what to expect during perimenopause, symptoms to look out for and how to manage them, and why women’s bodies are changing during this stage of life.
