Winter Reading Challenge

Join W.J. Niederkorn Library's Winter Reading Challenge for all ages - BINGO style!  Get 5 IN A ROW — up, down, across, or diagonal — to win! Return this sheet to the library when you complete a BINGO and receive your prize! If you get a BLACKOUT, you can enter into a drawing for a grand prize!  Pick up your BINGO sheet at either circulation desk between January 2 - February 28.

Hygge for Kids

Join us for a cozy night in at the library! We'll create tree bark owls, sock snowmen, and sip hot chocolate. Coloring and board games will also be available for an easy going Thursday evening. Best suited for ages 13 and under.

Sensory Playtime

**January 23 date has been rescheduled to January 30 instead due to the inclement weather on January 23.** Specially geared for children who have a variety of diagnoses including (but not limited to) autism, sensory processing disorder, ADD/ADHD, intellectual or developmental disabilities and their caregivers, but open to all youth (under 13 years old) of all ability levels. Our sensory playtime program is set up as a variety of tactile, sensory activity stations that children are free to explore with their caregiver. Each month is a different theme. Stations may include shaving cream, sand, water, and/or food items. Dress to make a mess!January - Let It Snow February - TransportationResearch shows sensory play supports children in their brain development, language development, gross and fine motor skills, as well as improving their ability to socially interact.Stop by for a little while or stay the whole time.
