Art with a Twist: Anything But a Paintbrush

During the spring months, March-May, the library is hosting a series of art classes with a twist for teens and adult! This month, the twist is to explore what techniques and tools will work best to make a painting of your choice! All supplies will be provided. Registration appreciated! Best for ages 14+

Sensory Playtime

Specially geared for children who have a variety of diagnoses including (but not limited to) autism, sensory processing disorder, ADD/ADHD, intellectual or developmental disabilities and their caregivers, but open to all youth (under 13 years old) of all ability levels. Our sensory playtime program is set up as a variety of tactile, sensory activity stations that children are free to explore with their caregiver. Each month is a different theme. Stations may include shaving cream, sand, water, and/or food items. Dress to make a mess! March - WindApril - NatureMay - Bugs Research shows sensory play supports children in their brain development, language development, gross and fine motor skills, as well as improving their ability to socially interact.Stop by for a little while or stay the whole time.
