Bring Your Own Book Club

Meet with fellow book lovers and share the book you are currently reading or just finished, whether its a cookbook, biography, romance, poetry, or anything in-between - fiction or nonfiction. Join us at Cavalier Wine Bar for a fun discussion all about books, and make exchanges and requests through the library, led by Adult Services Librarian, Alyssa. All are welcome, no registration is required.

Sensory Playtime

Specially geared for children who have a variety of diagnoses including (but not limited to) autism, sensory processing disorder, ADD/ADHD, intellectual or developmental disabilities and their caregivers, but open to all youth (under 13 years old) of all ability levels. Our sensory playtime program is set up as a variety of tactile, sensory activity stations that children are free to explore with their caregiver. Each month is a different theme. Stations may include shaving cream, sand, water, and/or food items. Dress to make a mess! June - Dinosaurs July - Underwater August - Sports Research shows sensory play supports children in their brain development, language development, gross and fine motor skills, as well as improving their ability to socially interact.Stop by for a little while or stay the whole time.
